What is Environmental Sustainable Design?
Environmental Sustainable Design is a subject that teaches the philosophy of designing physical objects, the built environment, and services to comply with the principles of social, economic, and ecological sustainability.
PROJECT ONE
The People and The Planet Photography Competition
For our first project, we were supposed to study about how environmental issues have become a great concern for mankind at present time. This project also encouraged us, as architectural students, to do our part by producing images that reflects the concern and appreciation of nature and inhabitants.
Project Objectives :
1. To increase awareness of current environmental issues locally and globally.
2. To explore local and global context of growth and realize the relationships between growth and its impact on
on the environment.
3. To induce creativity in attempting to explore the current environmental circumstances.

Environmental Sustainable Design
In this photo, the fisherman is waiting while trying to figure out where should he fish. Due to the river being polluted with oil, no matter how long he waits, he wouldn't be able to fish anything. All these pollution is caused by us humans. I just wish people could be more caution about a small things like this.
This is a simple photo of a river reflection. This river is polluted with oil and rubbish. People tend to ignore it and continue throwing rubbish in it. Sooner or later, it will be what we will be leaving in - a rubbish/polluted jungle
In this photo, the blind man is walking alone himself without having any clue what is going to walk in to. The blind man later walks into a cramped area full of cars double parking. I have always wondered how they imagine things from their point of view.

Through this project, I've manage to recognize the effect of growth on the environment and also the role and responsibility of an architect towards the environment and society. I've also managed to explore the concept of environmental and ecological sustainability.
PROJECT TWO
Paying It Foward
Environmental-Community Service.
To help design a solution for the chosen site. This project was given to us so that we could have a chance to give back to the community.
Project Objectives :
1. Increase awareness of current environmental issues.
2. Induce the activities while addressing environmental issues.
3. To relate the principles of sustainability through different perspectives.
4. To work with the community
Below are the proposed ideas :
Through this project, I've managed to recognize the impact of growth on the environment. And during this project, I was able to explore the
concepts of environmental and elogical sustainability. I was also able to recognize the roles and responsibilities of an architect towards sustainability of the environment and the society.
